SNO Ad Manager Add-On

When you order the Site Booster bundle, we’ll set up the SNO Ad Manager feature on your site. This feature lets you display multiple, rotating ads in a new ad widget; place multiple, rotating ads in the leaderboard and footer ad locations; and see the analytics for each ad right from your site. Ads will rotate each time the page reloads or refreshes.

Ad Groups

The SNO Ad Manager feature is based on rotating through ads that are placed into ad groups.  The feature comes with 5 preloaded ad groups which are named for the area of the site and size of ad they will display:

• Footer (728×90)
• Footer Small (205×90)
• Homepage Widget (300×250)
• Leaderboard (728×90)
• Leaderboard Small (205×90)

Note: Sizes listed above are in pixels.

Add an Ad

1. Scroll down towards the bottom of your site’s Dashboard, hover over the SNO Ad Manager tab in the left hand sidebar, and click on Create Ad.
2. Be sure the Ad Hosted On-Site tab is selected at the top of the screen.
3. Give the ad a title. (The title will not be published on the site.)
4. Select which size this ad will be.

• Choose 300×250 – Medium Rectangle if the ad will be placed in an ad widget
• Choose 728×90 – Leaderboard if the ad will be placed in the main leaderboard or main footer ad locations
• Choose 200×90 – Small Leaderboard if the ad will be placed in the small area of the leaderboard or footer ad locations

1. To upload the ad’s image, click Upload.
2. Click the Upload Files tab in the upper left corner.
3. Click the Select Files button and upload the ad from your computer.
4. Click the Set featured image button in the bottom right hand corner.
5. Set the Ad Details by choosing whether you’d like the ad to open in a new widow and by placing the URL  that you’d like the ad to direct people to in the Tracking URL box. Then enter any notes you’d like to have in the Notes box. (These notes will not be published on the site.)
6. On the right side bar, choose which ad group you want the ad to rotate with (you can choose as many groups as you would like, but do pay attention to the ad size), and then click publish.  Note: This just sets each ad to be a part of the ad rotation in that group.  You need to actually set each group to publish.

Place the Ads on the Site

Once you have ads placed in an ad group, you are ready to start rotating ads on your site.

To rotate ads in a widget on the homepage or non-home sidebar:

1. Click on Widgets under Appearance on the Dashboard of your site.
2. Scroll and click on SNO Ad Manager – Ad Group on the left hand side of the page.
3. Choose which widget area you’d like the Ad Manager widget to display and click Add Widget.
4. In the widget box that opens, add a title if you’d like there to be one.
5. Check the box next to the ad group you want to display. (If you do not see any ad groups listed, you’ll need to create a group or add ads to an existing group.)
6. Click Save.

To display a single ad in a widget on the homepage or non-home sidebar:

1. Click on Widgets under Appearance on the Dashboard of your site.
2. Scroll and click on SNO Ad Manager – Single Ad on the left hand side of the page.
3. Choose which widget area you’d like the widget to go in and click Add Widget.
4. In the widget box that opens, add a title if you’d like there to be one.
5. Select the single ad you want to display.
6. Click Save.

Using the SNO Ad Manager Ad Group Element to display ads in the Header or Footer area

1. Go to the  SNO Dashboard.
2. Scroll down and click Appearance.
3. Under SNO Design Option Find and click Site Designer.
4. In the Header area or Footer Area add a row.
5. Click Add content.
6. Select  SNO Ad Manager Ad Group element.
7. Select the Leaderboard ad group or the Ad Group you want to display.
8. Click Save All Design Changes.
9. Edit as needed for example moving the row up or down/ increasing the size of the ad. 

Create a New Ad Group

Note: New ad groups can only be used to rotate ads in widget areas.

1. Scroll down towards the bottom of the Dashboard of your site, hover over the SNO Ad Manager link in the left hand sidebar, and click on Ad Groups.
2. Type the name of your new ad group.
3. Click Add New Group.
4. Start adding ads to this group.

See Your Ad Analytics

Scroll down towards the bottom of the Dashboard of your site,  hover over the SNO Ad Manager link in the left hand sidebar, and click on Stats. These stats are limited to impressions or total clicks.
