Sequences are a series of shots that are edited together to build a scene. When edited well, they should be almost undetectable because they feel so natural to the viewer. Learn how to start creating successful sequences by following our formula of various camera angles and a few different editing rules.

Plan and Build a Video Sequence
Now that you know what elements are needed to construct a sequence, it’s time to practice putting one together. Students will start by outlining a five shot sequence they would like to create. They will then film and edit that footage together, constructing a final product that can be submitted to an instructor for grading purposes or for feedback.
