Your site has a built-in Bulk Edit feature which you can use to change some attributes of your stories in the Stories tab on the left side of your dashboard.
Use Bulk Edit to Add/Remove Category
- Create a new category, if needed.
- Click on the Stories tab on the left side of your dashboard to view all of your stories.
- Optional: Use the All Categories dropdown at the top to filter your stories by a category, then clicking the Filter button. Alternatively, use the All Dates dropdown to filter by date.
- Select all of the stories which you'd like to add a category, then change the Bulk Actions dropdown at the top of the screen to "Edit" and click Apply.
- In the Categories box here, check the box in front of the category you'd like to add, or uncheck the box for a category you'd like to remove. (Bulk removing a category will only work properly if all stories selected are assigned to that category.)
- Click the Update button.
You can adjust the number of stories viewable per page by clicking on Screen Options in the upper right corner, increasing the Number of items per page value, then clicking the blue Apply button. This will allow you to bulk edit more stories at once.
*Make sure all stories are assigned to at least one category if you want them to be displayed on a category page or shown in a category widget.*
Use Bulk Edit to Bulk Publish or Bulk Change to Draft/Private/Pending
- Click on the Stories tab on the left side of your dashboard to view all of your stories.
- Optional: Use the All Categories or All Dates dropdown at the top to filter your stories by a category or date, then clicking the Filter button.
- Select all of the stories which you'd like to change the status, then change the Bulk Actions dropdown at the top of the screen to "Edit" and click Apply.
- Change the Status dropdown to the status you’d like for your stories: Published, Private, Pending Review, or Draft.
- Click the Update button.

Use Bulk Edit to Delete Stories
*Please note that stories moved to the Trash will be permanently deleted after 30 days and will not be recoverable.*
- Click on the Stories tab on the left side of your dashboard to view all of your stories.
- Optional: Use the All Categories or All Dates dropdown at the top to filter your stories by a category or date, then clicking the Filter button.
- Select all of the stories which you'd like to delete.
- Change the Bulk Actions dropdown at the top of the screen to “Move to Trash”
- Click Apply.
