There are four main widgets to choose from if you want to display categories and their stories on your site – SNO Story Carousel, SNO Story Grid, SNO Story List, and SNO Story Parallax.
Read the descriptions and watch the brief videos below to learn a little more about how you can add, use and customize each one using your site's Widget Control Panel.
SNO Story List
This is our most robust and versatile widget with the greatest number of design options. It is likely the widget that you are using to display most of the categories on the homepage. When setting up the widget, you can use either the primary area, the secondary area, or a combination of the two areas.
This widget also includes the option to display video or audio embedded using the Video/Embed Code feature in a story.
SNO Story Carousel
This widget is a rotating carousel that can display up to 25 stories. Stories must have a featured image in order to be featured in the carousel.
In the settings, you can customize whether or not the carousel will cycle/animate automatically, how often it will cycle, and customize the design and display settings.
By default, the widget title and style is set to be hidden, but you can deselect the box to display it if desired.
Note: Although this video focuses on using the SNO Story Carousel widget in a featured section of your site, it can be displayed in any available widget area.
SNO Story Grid
This widget will display the featured images for your stories in a set of either mixed-size or equal-size panels. Stories must have a featured image in order to be featured in the grid.
In the settings, you can adjust the panel configuration and design options.
By default, the widget title and style is set to be hidden, but you can deselect the box to display them if desired.
Note: Although this video focuses on using the SNO Story Grid widget in a featured section of your site, it can be displayed in any available widget area.
SNO Story Parallax
This widget will display a parallax display of cascading photos from a category of stories. It will stretch across the full browser width; therefore, it can only be used in full width widget areas on your site.
