SNO offers three options for selling and placing ads on your website.
Base Website
Every SNO website includes the ability to place advertisements in three areas: header, footer, and widgets. These ads are static images that include a link that click-throughs to the advertisers’ website. In this model, you and your program are responsible for selling the ads to local businesses, collecting the payment, and uploading the ad images to your website. Your program keeps 100% of the ad revenue earned by these ads. Click here for instructions on how to place static ads on your SNO website.
Ad Manager Add-on
SNO offers an Ad Manager add-on as part of the Site Booster Bundle. This add-on allows you to rotate multiple ads through a position on the website. For example, with this add-on, your staff could sell the header ad position to three different businesses, and each time someone visits or refreshes your website, a different ad would display. The Ad Manager also features some basic analytics for the advertiser, such as the number of times the ad was viewed and the number of times someone clicked on the ad image. Your program keeps 100% of the ad revenue earned by these ads. Click here for instructions on how to place static ads on your SNO website. SNOAds.com
SNOAds.com is an optional online marketplace for regional and national advertisers to buy ads on student news websites. Each program that opts-in to SNOAds.com has a marketplace listing that advertisers buy and upload their ads. You decide which ad positions (header, footer, and sidebar) to make available for purchase, and you set the monthly pricing for each position. The advertiser is responsible for uploading their own ads, and each one is reviewed by the SNO team member before going live on a site. SNO collects the payment directly from the advertiser, and 70% of ad earnings are issued back to you in the form a credit on your account. SNO keeps 30% to cover the development of the platform and the administration of the service. If you earn more than your annual renewal, SNO will cut you a check for the overage at the end of the year. Click here for instructions on how to add your website listing to SNOAds.com.
