During the summer of 2020 we launched SNOads.com, a new platform designed to make it easy for advertisers to buy ads on student news websites. While schools with SNO websites won’t actually interact much with the SNOads.com platform, navigating the interface is crucial for those interested in purchasing an ad on a SNO client site. If that’s you, follow the steps below to get started.
1. Register for a free SNOads.com account.
2. Login to SNOads.com.
3. Click on the Images & Links tab at the top of site, and upload your ad images and links for approval. Images must be sized correctly and an accepted file type: 728x90px for Header/Footer ad, 300x250px for Sidebar and must be in the file format JPG, PNG, or GIF.
4. Click on the Store tab at the top and search for your desired school's newspaper site, or use the Search Filters to find a site with available ad space in your desired location.
5. Check the box in front of the ad space(s) you would like to purchase, then click the orange ADD TO CART button at the bottom. You may search again and add multiple ad spaces to your cart, if you'd like.
6. Click on the cart icon in the top right corner of your screen.
7. Use the Months dropdown to select how long you would like your ad campaign(s) to run.
8. Click the Checkout button.
9. Fill out the payment information on the right side of the screen, then click Pay.
Once we have received your order, a member of our team will review the graphic and the link that you uploaded to ensure they are appropriate. If your ad is approved, you will receive a confirmation email.
Changing your ad image or link after purchase
You can change the ad image or link after you've finalized your purchase. SNO Ads will automatically use the most recently approved image (of the correct size) and link in your account.
If you'd like to change the image or link used to another approved image or link, you can do this at any time in the Ad Manager tab of your SNO Ads account. Simply click on the Ad Manager tab, then use the dropdowns to choose the ad image or link that you'd like displayed on each site.
You can now upload and change ad images and links, even in the middle of campaigns.
