SNO offers a number of different elements for your header or footer which you can add in the Site Designer. Learn about the available elements/content blocks below.
- Button: Add a button that links to a URL.
- Color Block/HTML/Embed: Add a block of color, text, HTML, or an embed code.
- Headline Carousel: Scrolls through stories in a category that you select. Includes featured image.
- Current Date: Displays the date.
- Image/Simple Ad - Display an image. You are able to link the image to any URL, if you’d like.
- Marquee: A scrolling “new ticker” that contains your choice of headlines, announcements, sports scores, upcoming games, upcoming events, or custom text.
- Menu - Bar: A menu that appears as a bar or blocks across your screen. Menu items appear horizontally across your screen. You can edit your menu in Appearance -> Menus.
- Menu - Expanded: Displays a menu that shows sub-items and a progress bar underneath.
- Menu - Hamburger: Displays a hamburger menu that you can click to view menu items.
- Menu - Vertical: Displays menu items in a vertical list.
- Search Bar: A horizontal box that readers can use to search for content on your site.
- Search icon: A customizable search icons that readers can click on to search for content on your site.
- Site Header - Graphic: Use this element to add a graphic logo/masthead to your site. Images must be in JPG, PNG, or GIF format.
- Current Weather: Use your zip code to add the local weather to your site.
- Social Media Icons: Display icons to link to your social media accounts. Set the links to your accounts in Design Options -> Social Media Icons.
- Spacer: Use to add a transparent or color space in your header or footer design.
- Sports Score/Schedule Carousel: Display recent sports results or upcoming games for all sports or a single sport.
- Rows: Split the current content block into two rows. Additional rows can be added using the “+Add Row” prompt at the bottom of the split content block.
- SNO Ad Manager Ad Group: If your school has the Ad Manager, part of our Site Booster Bundle, use this element to display an ad group in your header or footer.
